How to settle for good: arraigo after temporary residency, being the child of an Argentine citizen, and special regimes — with the physical-presence and absence rules up to date.
Permanent residency allows you to settle indefinitely, has no migratory expiry and grants a permanent DNI. The DNI is renewed every 15 years and your address must be kept up to date.

You must also show sufficient means of support and meet the physical-presence conditions: more than 50% of the period in the country and no absences of 6 consecutive months or more, according to the rules published after the decree. These conditions should be verified against the ongoing litigation.
